About the Lecturer 1
Lacram Kokil is a leturer at the University of Guyana Berbice Campus, specializing in plant science. He has six years of experience in the Agricultural Extension Service and three years in lecturing. He has contributed to research publications and collaborative research projects on investigating rice farmers’ knowledge and awareness of food safety risks related to pesticide misuse in Regions 5 and 6, Guyana. Lacram's current research focuses on improving agronomic practices and bioprospecting of antimicrobial compounds. He regularly teaches Crop Botany, Crop Production, Plant Pathology, Microbiology, and Genetics courses. In addition to academic work, Lacram provides Agricultural Extension Services to rice farmers in Region 6.
